The Silverbrook United Methodist Church is seeking your financial support to replace our current HVAC system which has reached end-of-life.
The church is conducting a Capital Campaign to fund the new HVAC system. We’d like to invite our congregation, visitors and those that share our facility to help us raise the funds necessary to cover the replacement costs - the cost of replacement is $14,875.00. If there is a person or group that would be willing to “match” the donations, that would be a blessing. Your donation is tax deductible and will help preserve the church that means so much to all of us. Thank you in advance for your support!
Join us on Easter Sunday for an outdoor sunrise service at 8am by the cross. This service will be followed by a breakfast potluck and our 10am service
Join us in person or on Webex for Good Friday Service at 6pm. We will also partake of Holy Communion
Join us weekly on Facebook as we read The Unvarnished Jesus: A Lenten Journey. I plan to use it each day during Lent and I invite you to join me. "The Unvarnished Jesus is a forty-six day Lenten journey taking the reader from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday on a quest to encounter Jesus in a new and startling way. These forty-six daily meditations on the life and ministry of Jesus drawn from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are a spiritual solvent to help remove the layers of lacquer comprised of political and cultural assumptions that prevent us from seeing just how challenging and compelling Jesus of Nazareth really is. The Unvarnished Jesus is a forty-six day project to restore the incomparable image of Christ."
Pastor Tim will be at Silverbrook from 9-3 on Ash Wednesday for anyone who would like to receive the imposition of Ashes.
Ring in the new year in your pj's and join us via Webex for our Sunday Service! (In person service will not be held).

Over the last 2000 years that church has learned a number of different ways to pray and grow close to God. Have you ever felt like your prayers were stagnant or didn't really know what to do beyond "I should be praying"? That's what this class will be about. Each week we will examine a particular practice of prayer, talk about its origin, and then actually do the prayer practice together. Afterwards we'll discuss our experience with each practice. It will be a great time of deepening your faith and experience in prayer. If you're interested and want to be a part, please send me and email at email@example.com or to the church at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thursdays at 7pm via Webex
