Sunday Worship

Traditional in-person services augmented by on-line option every Sunday at 10am. 

Community Support

We support our local community by hosting AA, Girl Scouts, and support for local charities such as LCAC and Rising Hope.

Community Service

Our congregation supports our local, national, and worldwide community through gifts of time or donations. Recent service included Emergency Cleaning Buckets for flood victims; Teddy Bear Brigade, and Cereal food drive for LCAC.

Women's Group

Our Women’s group meets regularly once a month. Recent activities included a book-study a trip to the Museum of the Bible

Men's Group

The Men’s group meets regularly once a month. Recent activities included eating (haha)

Silverbrook
Singers

Our Silverbrook Singers are led by our Music Director, Carolyn Eng. During COVID, Carolyn and the Silverbrook Singers were able to bring the beauty of their harmony through online/mixed masterpieces.

Meet pastor Eric

Eric Kleppinger thanks God for calling him to be assigned to Silverbrook UMC as Pastor. He has been a United Methodist since 1993, and was a UMC
Certified Lay Servant for 16 years. He was previously a Church Council Chair, served on Finance and Staff-Parish committees, started and taught two adult Sunday School classes, and served as the Chaplain for Boy Scout Troop 688. He became a Licensed Local Pastor in the
United Methodist Church in June 2019, and from 2019 to 2023 Eric served as the Associate Pastor of Sydenstricker UMC at its Hooes Road campus as his first assignment. This summer he is completing his Clinical Pastoral Education requirement by serving as a Chaplain Intern at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
As the Pastor position is part time, he continues working for the Federal Government in Washington full-time.
Eric is a 1989 graduate of American University (BA Political Science), a 1996 graduate of the National Intelligence University (MS Strategic Intelligence), and a 2023 graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY (Master of Divinity).
